GRAZIA - LOCKDOWN MOTHERS & BABIES

Towards the end of lockdown 3, i was assigned by Grazia to photograph 12 mothers whom had given birth during the pandemic. In under 24 hours I had located 8 mothers and babies for the story, five of which featured in the piece.

These mothers and babies were photographed across greater London and surrounding areas. I went without an assistant to each shoot, and photographed them over 4 days outside of their homes. First time parents without any of the usual pre-natal and post-natal resources. Some weren’t allowed partners at doctor visits. Unable to share their newborns with their family and friends. A journey of resilience and strength to navigate their way through the early stages of motherhood in the midst of Covid-19.
